#30.Everyday

Everyday,
My beloved life is a chore,
I sit and stare for ages to come,
Into this blur of my future.

I stopped,
Just like my heart,
Waiting for you,
Waiting for love.

My minute existence,
Our epic romance,
My infinite boredom,
I’m confused.

Where are you?
You just vanished,
It’s like I sold my soul,
For this insanity.

It still hurts,
Yet I await you,
One day,
Everyday.

Thank You,

Arjun Rajeev

Ground Control to Stormy…

Hello,

I have been away busy with life and university. Things are going alright in their very own typical and asymmetrical ways. I seldom worry about the endpoints of these. After all, it’s the ride that counts, right?

I have missed writing poems and spreading my thoughts all over this tiny blog. This is why I am particularly eager for the summer. The stories can’t control themselves anymore and my soul is about to burst.

This is a ‘hello’ to say that I am here and I will always be.

Thank you,

#29.Explode

Our eyes met one last time and all I could see was the broken reflection of a kindred soul.

My heart split into a million pieces like the glasses which shattered so great.

A myriad of broken thoughts as I wished upon a shooting star to take me away.

To an unknown where unrequited love was hidden from the troubadour so brave.

This game of monotonous affection took my soul away on a rollercoaster ride.

Beyond the moon to a heavenly hearth hidden deep in the wonderlands of my mind.

She was a part of this unanticipated journey involving a broken heart and subtle lies.

Time creates a virtual reality where my soul just craves for every bit of hers.

I keep reminding myself of the miseries yet destiny refuses to concede this loss.

Reality quickly stabbed the subtle remains of my cold and eager heart.

She walked away and left me stranded with my own trivial thoughts.

I knew that this was the end because her tears made me feel incomprehensible pain.

The world fulfilled its desired conspiracy and I lost my only companion in this solitude.

An inevitable adventure with her fulfilled all my tiny yet loud desires longed by a lone mind.

Her memory does not exist in me anymore.

She does.

I broke down in front of the Universe.

I exploded.

Information:

The entire world was shaken today by the acts committed. I pray for humanity.

‘Explode’ is a poem that was written sometime ago. I opened my heart and soul into it. My emotions completely match every single word written.

A memory stood out over another. A scene to be played over and over in his beautiful mind. This is what our protagonist thought about.
He knew nothing about this at all. He was lost, confused and even scared about it. ‘Love’ was a mystery.
He trusted his kind heart everyday but he was simply nervous to enter this new arena. A beautiful girl made him smile and be a part of a new journey. Life would never be the same.

Time told him the truth and he now questions everything. The world has conspired against him and his heart. He is running away. His time was running out. His every tear drop bore much power and contained tiny bits of his heart.
No one bothered to care. He was his only companion now.

Eventually, our protagonist surrendered to the greater Universe.
He bowed down and said a prayer. His precious memories were his and his only. No one could ever touch those. Not even the Universe. He smiled and waved a weak goodbye. He exploded.
She was still a part of him.

Arjun Rajeev

#26.Fade Away

Where did you go?
I swear you were here
Standing beside me

I thought I saw you here
Your face and your smile
Almost brought back a tear
As if I cared

I must admit to you
That my heart went places
Dancing to a tune
Of your beauty

I am a nostalgic fool
Thinking only of you
Singing with no rule
Songs of our yesterday

Has love betrayed us both?
Maybe we did realize
There was always hope
For these two lost souls

To never be alone
Is what I pray
As we stand on our own
Before we fade away

Information:

A memory is all it takes. You are left with a glimpse into your past and another reality altogether. ‘Fade Away’ speaks this out as an adventure.

The protagonist remembers and catches onto a tiny speck of his memory. His dearly beloved. He is initially elated beyond possible words and is speechless and dazed. He quickly admits that it was a game that his mind had played on him.

He is reluctant to give up on that memory. He remembers her beauty, her love and everything about her. The songs he sang and tunes he hummed all hit him very quickly. He soon comes to reality and questions the ultimate reason for his current state. He wonders about her too.

The protagonist is a believer. He believes in destiny and all he prays for is satisfaction for himself and for her.

#25.A Lover’s Abomination: A Tale for Eternity

Greetings,

I am celebrating stormywriter’s 1st anniversary! 🙂 Enjoy reading!

I

That day took me to another dimension,
A state of utter paranoia,
Filled with the questionable,
And everything your mind couldn’t comprehend.

I held onto my halo,
The people were all the same yet different,
Scared and ready to kill for themselves,
Has the world really lost the battle?

The force grew stronger,
And I felt my heart beat grow colder,
Your every desire still felt the same,
It was out of this world.

II

The worlds all have a sacred pact,
Happiness shared a common ground,
To be stolen and destroyed,
You get what you deserve.

I panicked as this was the end,
End of the light that I should ever see,
Everything that I believed in was crushed,
I think I felt your soul next to me.

I couldn’t hold back my tears,
Was I going to let you go forever, my dear?
I couldn’t breathe,
I couldn’t even dream.

III

I watched them drag my soul away,
Into their plethora of unknowns,
I lay there helpless,
Drowning in my sea of memories.

I felt a charmed presence next to me,
Everything stopped moving around me,
The world finally comprehended,
And stood still for me.

I will never forget that moment,
I felt your heart beat,
I felt your soul,
I felt happiness.

IV

They played with my memories,
I never let them take you away,
The lights had vanished by now,
I felt my ethereal soul wake up.

Almost as if I were where I belonged,
I was not a passer – by anymore,
My place was right here,
I knew what I wanted.

You made me realize it all, my dear,
The truth out there was oblivious,
But that does not matter anymore,
I’m with you here forever.

Information:

‘A Lover’s Abomination’ is a poem which is very special to me. The tale boasts a fictional background with non-fictional and realistic emotions.

The protagonist is standing in front of life itself. Confused, dazed and mind-numbed. He questions the unquestionable and wishes for nothing but peace and ethereal harmony. Love has kept his heart and mind at the edge of misery and satisfaction.

Right now, he is telling a tale. A tale which will blow your mind. A tale of hope, grace and love. He talks about a day in his benevolent life which turned his world upside down.

The protagonist is transported to another world altogether by an unquestionable magical force. He feels lost and starts to panic. But, deep inside he is calm. This strange world held frightened people who have given up on hope. He soon realizes that this world was never meant to be. It will all end soon for him.

During this journey, he remembers his love and how her soul stood by him, with him and for him. He even remembers how he felt her ‘heart beat’ after he was exiled and destroyed from there. The ending turns bittersweet as the protagonist has his world as just a tiny speck in him but he cares only for the future with the one who he loves the most.

I convey hope to you. Trust me when I confirm that happiness is around you. Stay strong, readers. Thank you for 1 amazing year!

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

#22.Blackout

Sometimes all you need,
Is to let go of everything.
Drowse on your own placebo,
And trust the universe.

Believe in the untimely magic,
Of the frail beauties around you.
Look into your own soul,
And you’ll never be alone.

I see the planet as a wonder,
A city of dreams.
Faded, into its own heap,
With a subtle heartbeat.

Where right and wrong prevails,
Echoing the good and bad.
It is exactly a strange mystery,
Like the questions of my heart.

Information:

What is wrong with the world today? Where is all the goodness? Where is humanity? These questions haunt us. Are we the waiting?

‘Blackout’ speaks out the mind of the protagonist, a concerned being. He is just another lost soul facing earth’s scums and troubles everyday. He tries to do good and help in his own ways but what is the use? Everything he does conspires against him and his beliefs.

He echoes his heart’s desires. He is sick of lonely days and false placebos. When will it all make sense? But, the protagonist has a beautiful mind which is open to the wonderful mysteries of life. He embraces this and continues his journey called life.

This poem’s title is inspired by the song ‘Blackout’ by Muse.

Arjun Rajeev

Featured On ‘The Artistic Muse’

Greetings,

It is one of my greatest pleasures to announce that ‘The Artistic Muse’ has featured my poem ‘DEATH OF A MARTIAN: 1’.

I am truly honored to share my poetry and have it displayed on such a beautiful website dedicated to the Arts & Poetry.

You can view the featured poetry here! The other poetry featured are exquisite in each’s own way. I also enjoyed reading them.

‘The Artistic Muse’ has introduced me to a new term which I truly love.

Poehemian: a poet or artist who does not adhere to the norm; a bohemian of poetry or art; a poet or artist who is quite possibly (subconsciously or consciously) inspired by the great Edgar Allan Poe.

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev
