#27.Thoughts

You were a feet apart

My heart beat tore my heart

Everything I wanted to say

Quickly burnt and faded away

Perhaps that is the true essence of reality. That the heart’s desire is¬†merely an understatement in this frail world. You question the questions everyday and are left astounded with what you intend to perceive and what you actually do believe in.

I will be away on a short holiday and hope everyone is well.

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

#26.Fade Away

Where did you go?
I swear you were here
Standing beside me

I thought I saw you here
Your face and your smile
Almost brought back a tear
As if I cared

I must admit to you
That my heart went places
Dancing to a tune
Of your beauty

I am a nostalgic fool
Thinking only of you
Singing with no rule
Songs of our yesterday

Has love betrayed us both?
Maybe we did realize
There was always hope
For these two lost souls

To never be alone
Is what I pray
As we stand on our own
Before we fade away

Information:

A memory is all it takes. You are left with a glimpse into your past and another reality altogether. ‘Fade Away’ speaks this out as an adventure.

The protagonist remembers and catches onto a tiny speck of his memory. His dearly beloved. He is initially elated beyond possible words and is speechless and dazed. He quickly admits that it was a game that his mind had played on him.

He is reluctant to give up on that memory. He remembers her beauty, her love and everything about her. The songs he sang and tunes he hummed all hit him very quickly. He soon comes to reality and questions the ultimate reason for his current state. He wonders about her too.

The protagonist is a believer. He believes in destiny and all he prays for is satisfaction for himself and for her.

#25.A Lover’s Abomination: A Tale for Eternity

Greetings,

I am celebrating stormywriter’s 1st anniversary! ūüôā Enjoy reading!

I

That day took me to another dimension,
A state of utter paranoia,
Filled with the questionable,
And everything your mind couldn’t comprehend.

I held onto my halo,
The people were all the same yet different,
Scared and ready to kill for themselves,
Has the world really lost the battle?

The force grew stronger,
And I felt my heart beat grow colder,
Your every desire still felt the same,
It was out of this world.

II

The worlds all have a sacred pact,
Happiness shared a common ground,
To be stolen and destroyed,
You get what you deserve.

I panicked as this was the end,
End of the light that I should ever see,
Everything that I believed in was crushed,
I think I felt your soul next to me.

I couldn’t hold back my tears,
Was I going to let you go forever, my dear?
I couldn’t breathe,
I couldn’t even dream.

III

I watched them drag my soul away,
Into their plethora of unknowns,
I lay there helpless,
Drowning in my sea of memories.

I felt a charmed presence next to me,
Everything stopped moving around me,
The world finally comprehended,
And stood still for me.

I will never forget that moment,
I felt your heart beat,
I felt your soul,
I felt happiness.

IV

They played with my memories,
I never let them take you away,
The lights had vanished by now,
I felt my ethereal soul wake up.

Almost as if I were where I belonged,
I was not a passer – by anymore,
My place was right here,
I knew what I wanted.

You made me realize it all, my dear,
The truth out there was oblivious,
But that does not matter anymore,
I’m with you here forever.

Information:

‘A Lover’s Abomination’ is a poem which is very special to me. The tale boasts a fictional background with non-fictional and realistic emotions.

The protagonist is standing in front of life itself. Confused, dazed and mind-numbed. He questions the unquestionable and wishes for nothing but peace and ethereal harmony. Love has kept his heart and mind at the edge of misery and satisfaction.

Right now, he is telling a tale. A tale which will blow your mind. A tale of hope, grace and love. He talks about a day in his benevolent life which turned his world upside down.

The protagonist is transported to another world altogether by an unquestionable magical force. He feels lost and starts to panic. But, deep inside he is calm. This strange world held frightened people who have given up on hope. He soon realizes that this world was never meant to be. It will all end soon for him.

During this journey, he remembers his love and how her soul stood by him, with him and for him. He even remembers how he felt her ‘heart beat’ after he was exiled and destroyed from there. The ending turns bittersweet as the protagonist has his world as just a tiny speck in him but he cares only for the future with the one who he loves the most.

I convey hope to you. Trust me when I confirm that happiness is around you. Stay strong, readers. Thank you for 1 amazing year!

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

A Year of Everything

Greetings dear reader,

On the 4th of June, 2014, I created another new blog called ‘stormywriter – A Written Dream’. I have a typical¬†history of starting with new writing atmospheres but never controlling them. Eventually, I let my procrastination get the best of me.

This was different. I’m truthfully astonished to announce that stormywriter turns 1 year old!

Let me give you a brief on my year here:

My honest initial intention behind starting a poetry blog was to maintain all my poems online in an organised manner like a repertoire of some sorts.

I realized soon enough that this was not the case. stormywriter became my thought-bank; my feelings hub; my place to express. So, I started publishing my poems. One by one, I set off (sometimes at unearthly hours), spending my summer days eagerly hoping for the world to read and perhaps share my feelings.

I was tremendously inspired to write more for my exciting blog (I have published an article or two as well). I must admit that some of my poems can be found online as well on various other websites.

Personally, the year has been¬†a maze for me. My poems will speak this out – loud and clear. There is a connection between my poems and me – They speak for me! That is my only style of writing. I write what I cannot say; what I cannot sometimes even think about. Poems are fueled by my imagination and real-life events but I promise you something, dear reader… I promise you that, every single stanza, line and word written comes from my heart.

As the summer heat slowly vanished and welcomed a cooler and comfortable winter, I had the opportunity to write some more poems for you. Long evening walks, cozy music-listening poses and thoughtful relationships with individuals takes your mind to strange yet plentiful places.

I welcomed the new year with awe and promise. I managed to publish some more work online.
Now, I sit here lost for words.
I have a mental clue that I started writing this blog about a year ago but as I checked the exact date, I truly felt that this post is vital for you and me.

This sums up my 1 year as stormywriter.

As of today (1st of June, 2015), I have published 24 poems and certain articles addressing opinions, interpretations and photography.

Dear readers, followers and visitors, you have my love and gratitude. I am most thankful to you for eternity. You make me proud of stormywriter. Every single follow and comment makes my heart race and my chest swell with pride.

In Conclusion:

To sum it all up, I am extremely happy and proud of stormywriter – my written dream.

I will definitely keep on writing and I hope to write a similar post next year.
Until then, I hope you read, enjoy and share your emotions with my poems. They are for you, dear reader.

Announcement:

As an anniversary present (Yes, I get to use that word now), I am announcing that I will publish a new poem on the¬†4th of June, 2015. The poem is based on the mind’s journey towards an unknown yet understood realm. A timeless adventure of love and the strange. I hope you will enjoy it.

A Note to the Reader:

I bid you farewell from this post, dear reader. I hope you have enjoyed reading this story as well.

If you ever want to talk to me, perhaps give me something to write about or ask me more about myself, feel free to email me at: arjun.rajeev@hotmail.com or just leave a comment here.

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

#24.Suddenly

I stopped living
I’m merely existing
For the sake of life
Life with no meaning

I find myself dreaming
Always and everywhere
Of a happy age
Of no sadness

All I want is peace
This need is killing me
Stabbing my heart
Every single second

I don’t fear the great unknown
Not anymore, you see
For I have seen it all here
Life has won over me

I abandoned hope down there
Along with my love
My heart can’t take it anymore
This pain is hard to ignore

My sudden breaths save me
For I believe it will help me
To discover what’s beyond
This living nightmare

Think twice when I’m there
For I’m not here forever more
My love is your love
And we’ll never be alone

Information:

What is a life with no satisfaction?
What is your happiness? There might not be answers to such questions but do what your heart tells in the right moment with no regrets.

‘Suddenly’ was written under the supervision of my introspective thoughts. Thinking of peace in all honesty. It tells you directly the thoughts of an irritated troubadour, the protagonist. All he wants is peace. Nothing more.

I hope it is everything you wanted and more.

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

#23.Daydreaming Delusions

A beautiful girl can turn your world to dust.

She still keeps me awake.
Thoughts of everything about her, disturb me beyond possible words.
I try.
What’s the point?
I ask myself,
Where is my mind?
My heart needs her,
Or am I wrong?
These questions have no answers.
My lonely soul can’t be alone,
Do I want to fall in love again?
With her?
I am falling,
Down on my hands and knees.
Put me out of misery, dear.
You have my heart.
You have me.
Where is the cure?
The one you speak of so great.
Broken hearts rarely lie,
You were that lie.
I need you now more than ever.
I think so.
Are you miserable too?
I still remember your smiles,
In the wind and in the cold.
Our hands touched for seconds,
I was in love.
That’s it!
Erase my mind,
Take me back.
I beg you.
Take me back,
To where you and I belong.
Please.
To that wonderful time,
Our hearts intertwined,
Together as one,
Trying to win the world.
My words to you,
I still remember strong.
As we live on,
I will think of you.
You turned my world to dust.
How can I forget you?
Maybe a day will arise,
Our tears in unison,
As we forget the world around us,
Together.
In each other’s arms.
Until then, my dear,
I won’t ask for much,
Give love to the world.
Stay a confused rebel.
Never give in,
To life so compelling.
And know one thing,
I care about you.
Always,
Always,
Always.

The end.

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

#22.Blackout

Sometimes all you need,
Is to let go of everything.
Drowse on your own placebo,
And trust the universe.

Believe in the untimely magic,
Of the frail beauties around you.
Look into your own soul,
And you’ll never be alone.

I see the planet as a wonder,
A city of dreams.
Faded, into its own heap,
With a subtle heartbeat.

Where right and wrong prevails,
Echoing the good and bad.
It is exactly a strange mystery,
Like the questions of my heart.

Information:

What is wrong with the world today? Where is all the goodness? Where is humanity? These questions haunt us. Are we the waiting?

‘Blackout’ speaks out the¬†mind¬†of the protagonist, a concerned being. He is just another lost soul facing earth’s scums and troubles everyday. He tries to do good and help in his own ways but what is the use? Everything he does conspires against him and his beliefs.

He echoes his heart’s desires. He is sick of lonely days and false placebos. When will it all make sense? But, the protagonist has a beautiful mind which is open to the wonderful mysteries of life. He embraces this and continues his journey called life.

This poem’s title is inspired by the song ‘Blackout’ by Muse.

Arjun Rajeev
