A Year of Everything

Greetings dear reader,

On the 4th of June, 2014, I created another new blog called ‘stormywriter – A Written Dream’. I have a typical history of starting with new writing atmospheres but never controlling them. Eventually, I let my procrastination get the best of me.

This was different. I’m truthfully astonished to announce that stormywriter turns 1 year old!

Let me give you a brief on my year here:

My honest initial intention behind starting a poetry blog was to maintain all my poems online in an organised manner like a repertoire of some sorts.

I realized soon enough that this was not the case. stormywriter became my thought-bank; my feelings hub; my place to express. So, I started publishing my poems. One by one, I set off (sometimes at unearthly hours), spending my summer days eagerly hoping for the world to read and perhaps share my feelings.

I was tremendously inspired to write more for my exciting blog (I have published an article or two as well). I must admit that some of my poems can be found online as well on various other websites.

Personally, the year has been a maze for me. My poems will speak this out – loud and clear. There is a connection between my poems and me – They speak for me! That is my only style of writing. I write what I cannot say; what I cannot sometimes even think about. Poems are fueled by my imagination and real-life events but I promise you something, dear reader… I promise you that, every single stanza, line and word written comes from my heart.

As the summer heat slowly vanished and welcomed a cooler and comfortable winter, I had the opportunity to write some more poems for you. Long evening walks, cozy music-listening poses and thoughtful relationships with individuals takes your mind to strange yet plentiful places.

I welcomed the new year with awe and promise. I managed to publish some more work online.
Now, I sit here lost for words.
I have a mental clue that I started writing this blog about a year ago but as I checked the exact date, I truly felt that this post is vital for you and me.

This sums up my 1 year as stormywriter.

As of today (1st of June, 2015), I have published 24 poems and certain articles addressing opinions, interpretations and photography.

Dear readers, followers and visitors, you have my love and gratitude. I am most thankful to you for eternity. You make me proud of stormywriter. Every single follow and comment makes my heart race and my chest swell with pride.

In Conclusion:

To sum it all up, I am extremely happy and proud of stormywriter – my written dream.

I will definitely keep on writing and I hope to write a similar post next year.
Until then, I hope you read, enjoy and share your emotions with my poems. They are for you, dear reader.

Announcement:

As an anniversary present (Yes, I get to use that word now), I am announcing that I will publish a new poem on the 4th of June, 2015. The poem is based on the mind’s journey towards an unknown yet understood realm. A timeless adventure of love and the strange. I hope you will enjoy it.

A Note to the Reader:

I bid you farewell from this post, dear reader. I hope you have enjoyed reading this story as well.

If you ever want to talk to me, perhaps give me something to write about or ask me more about myself, feel free to email me at: arjun.rajeev@hotmail.com or just leave a comment here.

#24.Suddenly

I stopped living
I’m merely existing
For the sake of life
Life with no meaning

I find myself dreaming
Always and everywhere
Of a happy age
Of no sadness

All I want is peace
This need is killing me
Stabbing my heart
Every single second

I don’t fear the great unknown
Not anymore, you see
For I have seen it all here
Life has won over me

I abandoned hope down there
Along with my love
My heart can’t take it anymore
This pain is hard to ignore

My sudden breaths save me
For I believe it will help me
To discover what’s beyond
This living nightmare

Think twice when I’m there
For I’m not here forever more
My love is your love
And we’ll never be alone

Information:

What is a life with no satisfaction?
What is your happiness? There might not be answers to such questions but do what your heart tells in the right moment with no regrets.

‘Suddenly’ was written under the supervision of my introspective thoughts. Thinking of peace in all honesty. It tells you directly the thoughts of an irritated troubadour, the protagonist. All he wants is peace. Nothing more.

I hope it is everything you wanted and more.

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

#18.Memories

I await the lobotomy
Day after day
To go to a place
Far far away
Beyond the cynic’s scope
Where life is not a chore
I am caught in dire straits
Leaving behind any trace
Of love and happiness
That I never owned
But was gifted to me
From society’s very own
People who traverse emotions
Into achieving their own grave
Merely ignorant fools
With neither purpose nor taste
They make you believe
All the wrongs in this world
And ask you for a cause
With no one to love or care
My heart is just going to tear
Into pieces of but a tiny memory
Awaiting the end very slowly

Information:

The earth is merely a memory. A nostalgic wonderland built in the colorful depths of our minds. All that is beautiful is the divergence of each unique soul. Yet a powerful force fulfills that craving and need and brings two souls together.

‘Memories’ is the protagonist’s nostalgia. He is a commoner of the world. A person with an ultimate aim for happiness. But, the constant struggles of everyday life makes him question life and everything around him.

Arjun Rajeev

Thank-You Message

Greetings,

I write this post with much happiness and joy. I am delighted to announce that stormywriter.wordpress.com has hit 50 followers today! 🙂

While this may seem as a small achievement, it is one that I shall cherish forever!

To all my readers (new and old alike): I strongly believe that literature is much more than an art. It is an integral part of oneself and it is the strongest, most bravest way to tell the world what you want. Writing is my passion!

I relish each and every like, follow and comment on my blog because no matter what it says or means, I am satisfied that it is being read by an audience. There is nothing more that I ask for!

I feel that it is important to share this milestone with my readers!

I leave you with some of my favorite lines taken from Robert Frost’s poem:

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Have a nice day and stay tuned for more poetry!

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev

Question of the hour

Greetings,

Poetry, prose and literature in general is a beautiful work of art. People enjoy writing and creating such articulate and beautiful works.

People also enjoy reading and understanding the love and hard work along with soul put into it.

The process is an amazing one!

The question which has haunted me is: Can two writers collaborate?

In the world of art (Poetry is most definitely an art), there are cases of beautiful collaboration among people. Artists who specialize in a certain aspect seek help and guidance of another artist who can work on a specific function of the artwork.

This is very interesting because there two sources of inspiration, two ideas and styles and two unique perspectives to the artwork.

Poetry is everything described above and much more. The idea of accepting two writers can be challenging in the beginning. The experience is something unique as well.

I think that collaboration is not a focus on the final result but rather the entire process and experience. It is a good way to aesthetically form friendship and understand the other person as well.

This is my opinion to the matter. I would love to hear your idea and opinions.

Please leave them as a comment!

Thank you,

Arjun Rajeev
